Following a challenging 3–14 season in 2024, the Tennessee Titans have embarked on a significant roster transformation under new general manager Mike Borgonzi. A key component of this overhaul is the addition of veteran offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler, who brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Zeitler, a 13-year NFL veteran, joined the Titans after a successful stint with the Detroit Lions. Despite his age, the 35-year-old guard has been a consistent performer, starting 197 of 198 possible regular-season games throughout his career. His durability and leadership are expected to play a crucial role in stabilizing the Titans’ offensive line, especially with the integration of rookie quarterback Cam Ward.
During the team’s organized team activities (OTAs), Zeitler’s limited participation raised questions among observers. Head coach Brian Callahan addressed these concerns, stating, “He’s here, again, we’re just being smart managing him at 35 years old. We’ll just take it slow with him, don’t need to see a lot Zeitler at the moment. He’s pretty proven at this point in his career” .
In addition to Zeitler, the Titans have made other strategic acquisitions to bolster their roster. Notably, they signed veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett to a one-year deal, aiming to provide Ward with reliable targets and enhance the team’s offensive capabilities .
As the Titans continue their offseason program, the focus remains on integrating new talent and preparing for the upcoming season. The team’s efforts to balance experienced leadership with emerging talent reflect a commitment to building a competitive and cohesive unit.
