Congratulations: Atlanta Falcons Officially Bring Back a Familiar Face β€” Roddy White Returns as Motivational Coach

ATLANTA, GA β€” In a move that has sparked excitement among fans and players alike, the Atlanta Falcons have officially welcomed back franchise legend Roddy White, this time not as a wide receiver, but in a new role β€” Motivational Coach.

Head Coach Raheem Morris made the announcement earlier today, calling White’s return β€œa full-circle moment” for the organization.

> β€œRoddy White was the heart and soul of the Falcons during his playing days,” Morris said. β€œHis leadership, passion, and toughness are exactly what this locker room needs. Having him back in the building brings a powerful energy.”

White, who spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the Falcons (2005–2015), remains one of the most beloved figures in team history. He holds franchise records in receiving yards and receptions, and played a key role in the team’s rise as a consistent playoff contender during the 2000s and early 2010s.

Now, as a Motivational Coach, White will focus on mentoring players, boosting locker room morale, and offering guidance on handling the mental and emotional demands of the game.

> β€œI’ve always had a deep love for this city, this team, and these fans,” White said in his first comments since the announcement. β€œI’m honored to be back and to pour into these guys the same way veterans poured into me when I first got here.”
