Treylon Burks, once hailed as the heir to A.J. Brown, has finally spoken — and he’s not backing down.
With his back against the wall and his NFL future in question, the former first-round pick stepped in front of the media after Day 3 of Titans minicamp and delivered a bold, emotional message about his intentions heading into the 2025 season:
“I’m not going out like this. This year, I’m proving who I really am. I owe that to my teammates, to this city, and to myself.”
Burks’ comments come at a crucial point in his career — the final year of his rookie deal, with underwhelming numbers, questions about his health, and the weight of being A.J. Brown’s replacement still looming.

In 2022, the Titans made a seismic move during the NFL Draft, trading away star receiver A.J. Brown to the Eagles and selecting Treylon Burks at No. 18 overall to fill the void.
