TENNESSEE STUNS UCLA IN EXTRA INNINGS, ADVANCES TO WCWS SEMIFINALS Lady Vols Show Grit and Power in 5-4 Thriller to Keep Championship Dreams Alive

The Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team has advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Women’s College World Series (WCWS) after a thrilling 5-4 extra-innings victory over UCLA. This win marks Tennessee’s return to the semifinals, showcasing their resilience and determination throughout the tournament. 

In their WCWS opener, Tennessee faced a tough loss against Oklahoma, falling 4-3 due to a walk-off home run by Ella Parker.  However, the Lady Vols bounced back with a commanding 11-3 run-rule victory over Florida, demonstrating their offensive prowess and setting the stage for their matchup against UCLA.

The semifinal berth is a testament to Tennessee’s strong performance and determination in the tournament. They will now prepare to face their next opponent in the semifinals, aiming to continue their pursuit of a national championship.
