After a remarkable career spanning more than a decade, veteran long snapper Morgan Cox has officially announced his retirement from the NFL.
Cox, widely regarded as one of the most consistent and respected specialists in the league, leaves the game after 13 seasons, highlighted by five Pro Bowl selections, including a 2022 appearance representing the Tennessee Titans. He was also a trailblazer in his position — becoming the first long snapper in NFL history to be named to an All-Pro team, a testament to his exceptional performance and contributions on special teams.
Originally entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2010, Cox spent the majority of his career with the Baltimore Ravens, where he became a core member of the team’s highly acclaimed special teams unit. He was part of the Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII-winning squad and formed a reliable kicking battery with kicker Justin Tucker and punter Sam Koch.
